springtime in Lyon

This is a cherry blossom tree I found in the Parc de Gerland, in Lyon. It hasn’t fully bloomed yet (as of March 22, 2011).

I used to say that fall was my favorite season.

Fall, because of the rich oranges, yellows, reds.

Fall, for the crisp autumn winds.

Fall, for the change to warmer clothing.

But now? I’m not so sure.

With nature awakening and the trees and flowers shedding their winter woes,, spring brings hope back to the earth.

How can I not love spring the most?

I am so jealous – spring still hasn’t arrived in Boston (though today it has put in a good effort)
