About

Fais ce que dois, advienne que pourra. Do what you must, come what may.

There are three four things you need to know about me.

One. I’m a firm believer that life is not measured by the breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.

Two. I moved to France for a gap year between college and graduate school.

Three. If you had told me when I started college that I would move abroad after finishing my undergraduate studies, I would have laughed in your face.

Four. I no longer live in Lyon, France. Instead, I call Baltimore, MD, USA my home now. I’ll be here until at least 2015, pursuing my medical degree.

I started this blog in 2010 mostly as a means to share snippets of my life with my loved ones back at home. But somewhere along the way, this blog stopped being just about sharing. It became a way to record the emotions I felt in the moments that take my breath away. It became a way to document my growing (and surprising) interest in art. It became a way for me to play with photography and choosing which images to put online. It became a way for me to talk about the things that make me incandescently happy. This isn’t a blog about ma vie quotidienne; I write to remember emotions and not the everyday. Now, I write whenever I can, about places, people, and things that make me happy.

I’m not sure where my life is going to take me and I never know exactly what lies ahead. But it’s time for me to make the most of this life. After all, it’s the only one I’ve got.

Me in the Tuileries, Paris (October 2010).
